Select People Ltd is a specialist headhunting firm accepting international assignments in Europe, the US, Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada, the Middle East and Asia. Whereas most recruitment companies work off a database of candidates within a particular sector or region, Select People's "database" theoretically includes every person in the world with a phone or email account.
Select People were the first recruitment agency in Ireland to achieve the CIPD "Certified Internet Recruiter" qualification for its senior staff. For every assignment we commit to, we engage in several weeks of research, identifying a long "shortlist" of candidates through the use of our extensive referral network, internet searching and social media presence. After we engage with and assess these candidates, our clients are presented with a final shortlist of candidates who represent the best match to their specification, rather than just the best that we have. Traditionally this service has been called "headhunting" but we aren't that comfortable with this title as it sounds too expensive and pompous, we call it "recruitment as it should be". We employ the most modern technologies in our search process, enabling us to be more efficient and accurate in our search, hence reducing our overall search costs. This enables us to provide our clients with a "headhunting" service at contingency recruitment prices.
Vincent O'Donoghue
Vincent has 12 years experience in IT and Telecom sales both in Ireland and the Caribbean and was also one of the first people in Ireland to be awarded the CIPD IrishRecruiters Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) designation. A Master of Arts graduate from Dublin City University, Vincent worked for 8 years in a senior sales role for one of the worlds largest telecommunications companies dealing with large multi national organisations at boardroom level. Vincent relocated to the Cayman Islands with his wife taking up a role as the Head of Sales for the Caribbeans fastest growing telecoms company managing a team of corporate sales people as well as having responsibilty for the consumer market in Cayman. This experience has provided an invaluable insight for others looking to make the same transition to Cayman and other off shore locations. (Email Vincent)
Jonathan Campbell
Jonathan is a co-founder and Director of Select People but his full time job is as CEO of Social Recruiting Consultancy, Social Talent. Jonathan is a Career Recruiter who is passionate about social media and technology and who absolutely loves his job! After 12 years of sourcing and placing candidates with clients in different parts of the world, he now helps hiring organisations and external recruiters to build talent communities on social networks and develop talent acquisition strategies that utilise leading edge technology.
Jonathan was one of the co-founders of international recruitment company, Select People Ltd, is a member of the Think Tank of Irish Recruiters and was one of the first CIPD Certified Internet Recruiters in the UK & Ireland. He acts as an adviser to the Board of Select People Ltd, providing the company with expertise and insight on international sourcing methods.(Email Jonathan)
